History

The Yellow Door was first sold as a separate property in 1790 where it was described as part of the houses and yards of the Greengate which belonged to John Murdoch, Comptroller of the Customs at the Port of Kirkcudbright

Location

Kirkcudbright is known as ‘The Artists Town’ having hosted generations of painters, craftmakers and artisans, a culture still thriving today.

Dogs welcome

Small Dogs are welcome, maximum of two.

The Yellow Door, along with the four other houses on this close, therefore benefit from a good degree of privacy and a peaceful location which is at the same time central and convenient for the amenities of the bustling harbour town of Kirkcudbright.
